FX

Planned

Hi, I would like to use my own currency, for example when buying shares, so that I can easily choose (eur/usd) and the like. I would also like to be able to choose any currency, just for the fees associated with the purchase.

    Hi! This should be possible.
Here's how you can manage currency preferences for your transactions:

-Default Currency: You can set your default currency in your Profile Settings. This is the currency that all transactions will be auto-converted to.
-Manual FX Rates: If you wish to use a specific exchange rate for transactions that differ from your default currency:
-You can set the FX rate manually.
-Alternatively, you can let AIV fetch the current exchange rate for you.

    -Transaction Currency Options
When buying shares, you can select the currency for the purchase (like EUR or USD).
For fees associated with the purchase, you can specify a different currency if needed.

Let me know if this solves your question. I am happy to help

Hi, it still doesn't work. I still can't manually change the FX (exchange rate) on individual transactions, and of course I can't change the currency fees either.

As long as the transaction currency is different than the stock traded currency, we should be allowed to change the FX rate. If there is an issue on your side can you please send an email to support@allinvestview.com to analyze further?

Moreover, it is true that currency fees is always the transaction currency.
e.g Buy AAPL (USD) with transaction currency EUR; fees currency is EUR.

If you would like to book fees with a different currency (e.g Buy AAPL (USD) with transaction currency EUR; with fees currency is GBP), then please let us know and I will add this functionality to our roadmap!

    I remain available. Kind regards,
