As a crypto investor, I wanted to add cryptocurrencies to my portfolio but noticed there's currently no dedicated option for this. I had to add them as stocks, which is not accurate and causes confusion.
Additionally, it's quite difficult to find the crypto assets I want to add — ideally, we should be able to search and add them by ticker symbol (e.g., BTC, ETH, SOL), just like we do with stocks.
Furthermore, after adding one asset — Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) — my entire portfolio disappeared, likely because the system couldn’t track the asset properly. This makes the feature risky to use and could lead to data loss.
I’d really appreciate if crypto could be:
Treated as a separate asset class;
Searchable by ticker;
Tracked correctly to avoid errors or portfolio loss.
Thanks for considering this improvement!
Thank you for the detailed feedback — that’s really helpful!
Right now, the system supports adding crypto assets by appending the currency code to the symbol, for example:
BTCUSD, ETHUSD, or VIRTUALUSD.
This allows them to be tracked correctly using live crypto data feeds.
Would this approach work well enough for you, or would you prefer having crypto as a separate asset class in the dashboard?
