Ramaco Resources, Inc.

🧾 Earnings Recap – Q2 2026

Ramaco Resources’ stock declined modestly by 0.5% following its Q2 report as investors remained cautious despite progress on the transformative Brook Mine project, reflecting persistent uncertainties around the large refinery capital costs and project timeline.

  • The Hatch conceptual study finalized recently confirmed refined processing methods and outlined a large-scale midstream refinery as Ramaco’s most significant and costly project to date.
  • Project NPV estimates range from $3.4 billion to $8 billion with average adjusted EBITDA between $600 million and $1.3 billion, both considerably higher than previous studies but accompanied by increased capital expenditure and extended timelines.
  • About 75% of projected revenue will come from critical minerals driven primarily by semiconductor industry demand, shifting away from overreliance on scandium.
  • Major capital spending for the refinery remains more than two years away, with financing discussions ongoing and contingent on offtake agreements and government support.
  • The company plans key technical and pre-feasibility reports through 2026 and early 2027, underscoring a deliberate approach to de-risking the project before scaling production.
