🧾 Earnings Recap – Q2 2026

Shares declined 1.4% following the quarter as investors appeared cautious despite solid sales and EPS growth, mostly due to a tempered second-half outlook and expected deceleration in inflation-driven price benefits.

  • Comparable store sales increased 6% in Q2 and 7% year-to-date, driven by balanced growth in both professional (+10%) and DIY segments.
  • Diluted earnings per share rose 10% in Q2 and 13% for the first half of 2026, supported by profitable sales growth.
  • Inflation contributed a 5.5% same SKU price increase in Q2, consistent with expectations, with this benefit projected to moderate to 1-2% in the back half of the year.
  • Full-year comparable store sales guidance was raised to 4-6%, up from 3-5%, reflecting first-half outperformance but maintaining a cautious stance for the back half.
  • Management highlighted potential volatility in seasonal demand and price benefits, signaling restraint in growth assumptions despite a strong Q2.
