Parsons Corporation

🧾 Earnings Recap – Q2 2026

Shares of Parsons Corporation plunged 30.4% following the release of Q2 results, primarily due to significant charges and portfolio actions that signaled margin pressure and a cautious outlook despite underlying organic growth.

  • Recorded $118 million of nonrecurring charges including a $77 million loss on two nonstrategic Federal Solutions contracts being exited and a $41 million weather-related charge impacting Critical Infrastructure.
  • Took portfolio shaping actions by divesting advisory contracts and exiting remote contracts that no longer meet risk and profitability criteria, reducing exposure but weighing on near-term earnings.

  • Adjusted EBITDA margin of 10.1%, with Critical Infrastructure margins up 70 basis points to 11.9%.
