The company has a strategic technology partnership with Hexagon Robotics for the development and supply of high-precision strain wave and planetary gear actuators. The company also has strategic partnership with Spire Global, Inc. to develop space hardware subsystems, satellite platforms, and advanced radiofrequency (RF) and environmental sensing capabilities. The company was formerly known as INA Beteiligungsgesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung and changed its name to Schaeffler AG in October 2014.
