🧾 Earnings Recap – Q2 2026

SpaceX shares declined 5.5% following the earnings release, primarily due to cautious commentary on future execution risks and a lack of concrete near-term guidance, which tempered investor enthusiasm despite strong revenue growth and adjusted EBITDA gains.

  • Q2 revenue soared 92% year-over-year to $7.8 billion, driven by Falcon launch services and expanding Starlink operations.
  • Adjusted EBITDA surged 191% to $3.5 billion, reflecting improved scale and operational leverage.
  • The company reported a net loss of $541 million, though this marked a $467 million improvement from the prior-year quarter.
  • Management highlighted ambitious long-term growth targets for payload capacity (up to 10 million tons/year with Starship) and Starlink bandwidth expansion, but offered limited clarity on near-term execution and monetization milestones.
  • Momentum in AI capabilities with Grok 4.5 and upcoming versions underlined strategic investments, but there was no detailed guidance on how these will impact financial results.
