🧾 Earnings Recap – Q2 2026

Vishay’s shares dropped 15.6% after earnings as investors reacted negatively to a clear deceleration in growth momentum and cautious forward indications, despite strong revenue gains. The pronounced correction signals concerns over sustainability of demand and margin pressures not fully addressed by management’s commentary.

  • Adjusted Q2 revenue reached $919 million, up 20.5% year-over-year and 9.5% sequentially, driven by broad-based strength across product lines and end markets, notably industrial (up 30.1% YoY).
  • Book-to-bill ratio stood at 1.32 overall, with semiconductors at 1.23 and passives at 1.40, supporting a backlog of $1.9 billion, or 6.1 months of sales.
  • About one-third of product SKUs have undergone price increases to offset rising input costs, helping to partially offset margin pressure from materials and logistics inflation.
  • Demand sustainment appears reliant on extended customer order visibility and inventory build, with some pockets of caution outside AI-related industrial growth; elevated inventory stocking may signal near-term risk.
  • Management’s optimistic framing contrasts with the sharp market selloff, indicating skepticism on whether Vishay’s “Vishay 3.0” strategy and price actions can sustain momentum amid geopolitical and cost environment challenges.
