Research Depth
Stock Rover wins clearly here. Its screener has hundreds of filters covering valuation, growth, profitability, dividends, technical signals, and ratios – with 10+ years of historical financials per stock. AllInvestView includes P/E, dividend yield, market cap and sector for each holding but does not aim to replace a dedicated research platform. If picking individual stocks is core to your strategy, keep Stock Rover for that.

Exposure across all your funds
Stock Rover reports the top constituents, sector weights, asset weights, the asset allocation and a style box, which is more than most research tools put on a fund. That report describes one fund at a time.
Portfolio X-Ray answers what all the funds you own add up to. Every fund in the portfolio is broken into its holdings. The constituents are weighted by how much of it you hold, and the result is combined with shares you own directly. The report ranks your underlying company exposure. It marks companies held both directly and through funds. It also counts repeated holdings and shows the share carried by the top five.

Capital gains reports
Cost basis and realised gains are already in front of a Stock Rover user, inside the Portfolio Performance report, and for a US or Canadian equity investor that covers a lot of the year. Stock Rover does not produce a capital gains report at any tier. It has no country rules or choice of lots to match against a sale. It does not show estimated tax.
The tax report uses those same trades. FIFO, LIFO, HIFO and average cost can give different taxable gains. The report compares all four. Fourteen country rule sets carry their own rates and quirks, from wash sales to bed and breakfast windows to deemed disposal. Closed disposals supply the realised tax. Each open row has no Tax Owed figure and instead shows what selling it today would cost.

Returns across global holdings
Performance reporting is one of the better parts of Stock Rover. It shows internal rate of return and time-weighted return for any date range. It also shows fees in dollars and five years of monthly returns in a heat map. Stock Rover is North American by design, with US and Canadian coverage.
Any custom period recomputes the whole portfolio rather than one report inside it. For calendar 2025, it reads 15.11 percent as the internal rate of return, 7,333.90 in dollars of capital gain, and 3.93 percent of yield from dividends across those months. Each holding is valued in its own currency. The calculation uses the exchange rate on the trade date.
AllInvestView
Dedicated bond records
Stock Rover holds bonds and options as manually valued other assets. A bond has no maturity to run down to, no coupon schedule or yield. You have to update its value yourself.
An AllInvestView bond has an ISIN, maturity, coupon and payment frequency. Its price comes from the government yield curve for the currency. It finds the spread that matches the market price and uses that spread for later prices. This example shows 4.72 percent yield to maturity, 98 basis points of spread and a price of 99.75. It also shows duration, convexity, current yield and accrued interest. The Treasury benchmark is named. Sterling, euro, Canadian and Australian issues each get the curve of their own currency.

Export limits and formats
Stock Rover exports CSV files. The entry tier allows ten files a month. Higher tiers allow ninety, five hundred or two and a half thousand. Trial members cannot export.
AllInvestView has no monthly export quota. Tax reports are available as PDF, Excel, CSV and a print view. Every position, gain, dividend and estimated tax travels with that report. Holdings export separately as xlsx, and X-Ray writes out the constituent breakdown as CSV.

Support for wrong numbers
Stock Rover answers questions by email and through a large support database, and sells telephone support to annual subscribers as a fifty dollar add-on.
AllInvestView support can check the portfolio and source statement behind a problem. A real person can review the file, the broker record or a currency mismatch.
