getquin and AllInvestView
getquin
German-based platform combining portfolio tracking with investment community features. Users share portfolios and discuss strategies.
AllInvestView
FeaturedTracks stocks, funds, bonds, options and crypto, with capital gains reports tied to country rules.
Importing Your Transactions
The two platforms take different approaches to bringing an existing record across.
getquin: Aggregator-Based Connections
getquin uses third-party aggregation services to pull data from supported brokers. When the connection works, transactions flow in automatically. However, if your broker isn't on their supported list, you enter each trade yourself, since there is no file upload.
Users have reported connection failures, missing transactions, and situations where only current balances import without historical trades. This creates problems for accurate performance tracking.
AllInvestView: Multiple Sources
AllInvestView can rebuild holdings from several sources:
- Live broker connections: Linked holdings from supported firms such as Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Public, Wealthsimple, and others refresh automatically each night
- Flexible files: CSV, XLSX and copied rows preserve every trade detail without prescribed columns
- Recognized exports: Files from DEGIRO, Trading 212, Fidelity, ING, PortfolioPerformance and more than 50 other sources carry their history across
- Unusual formats: Custom file layouts can still become complete transaction records
What getquin Does Well
getquin Highlights
- Active community sharing investment ideas and strategies
- Well-designed mobile applications for iOS and Android
- Live price updates available on free accounts
- Simple interface for basic portfolio viewing
- Stock screener with fundamental data
- Follow other investors to see their moves
For users who mainly hold straightforward stock and ETF positions at supported brokers and value community interaction, getquin provides a decent free option.
Gaps in getquin
What getquin does not cover
- No tax features: cost basis and capital gains are not calculated
- Options are not covered
- Limited historical analysis when syncs only pull current positions
- Aggregators require sharing broker login credentials
Where an aggregator connection is missing, adding years of transaction history trade by trade is impractical.
The AllInvestView Approach
Core Principles
- Universal asset coverage: Stocks, bonds, options, crypto, and custom assets all receive full analytical treatment
- Accurate performance: True time-weighted and money-weighted return calculations, not estimates based on current positions
- Tax readiness: Built-in capital gains calculations for major jurisdictions with proper cost basis tracking
- Data ownership: Export your data whenever you want in standard formats
- Import flexibility: Sync when convenient, CSV when you need precision–both paths available
Supported Asset Types
Stocks and ETFs work well and cryptocurrency has basic support. Beyond that, options are thin and bonds have no dedicated features. Custom holdings can be added, but they only track current value, without historical performance or income attribution.
Every asset class receives purpose-built handling:
- Equities: Stocks and ETFs with dividend tracking, corporate action handling, and sector analysis
- Fixed income: Bonds with yield-to-maturity, duration, accrued interest, and complete coupon schedules
- Derivatives: Each option carries its live risk measures and a theoretical value that moves with the market
- Cryptocurrency: Direct tracking with live prices across major coins
- Alternative holdings: Real estate, peer lending, collectibles with full performance history
Bond investors: AllInvestView's bond calculator handles coupon schedules, accrued interest and yield. getquin does not have those.
Tax Calculation Tools
Tax season reveals the biggest difference between these platforms.
getquin does not calculate cost basis or capital gains, so the figure for your tax return is worked out elsewhere.
The tax report covers:
- Cost basis methods: FIFO, LIFO, Average Cost Basis, and Specific Identification
- Jurisdiction support: Pre-configured rules for US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, and more–14+ countries
- Progressive brackets: Automatic calculations with band-by-band breakdown
- Wash sale tracking: Configurable window (30 days US, different for other regions)
- Loss carryforward: Track losses across years with applicable limits
- Report generation: Export capital gains data in PDF, Excel, or CSV formats
- Holding period analysis: Short-term versus long-term gain separation
Handling Multiple Currencies
Investors holding US tech stocks, European bonds, and UK dividend payers need proper multi-currency treatment.
Basic conversion to your display currency. There is no breakdown of how exchange rate movements affect returns.
- Automatic exchange rate fetching from reliable sources
- Cash accounts maintained in multiple currencies
- Performance separated by currency contribution
- Historical FX rates preserved for accurate past calculations
- Switch display currency instantly across the entire interface
Inside AllInvestView
Community features
getquin has the larger social network. It includes profiles, following, comments and a curated ideas feed. AllInvestView does not match the size of that network.
AllInvestView also has published portfolios with trending stocks, search, votes and comments. Any public portfolio can be lined up beside yours for a holding-by-holding comparison.
A published portfolio gets its own link with holdings, performance, total value and a share image under your display name. Your email address and every other portfolio remain private.
AllInvestView
Your portfolio on 31 December
getquin answers questions about now. It tells you what you hold and what it is worth today, and its history is a chart of value over time. A tax office may also need what you held on one date and its value.
Any past date rebuilds the whole dashboard. It shows the positions open on that day, their allocation weights, and the return, income and capital gain recomputed to that date. It is reconstructed from your booked transactions, not interpolated off a price chart, which is why the completeness of the imported history matters so much.
Spanish and German filings both want a year-end position, and so does anyone checking a broker statement against their own records. Without this, that means going back to the broker for a statement and rebuilding the numbers by hand.
AllInvestView
Dedicated options records
In getquin, an option can be entered as a custom holding with a manual value. It does not update with the contract.
Options in AllInvestView have their own records and arithmetic. Eleven supported strategies include spreads, straddles, strangles, iron condors and the wheel. Each contract has a theoretical price plus delta, gamma, theta and vega. Rolls, exercises and expiries are recorded as events. Premium received reduces the cost basis of the underlying shares.
One detail matters if you are comparing free tiers: options never count against the holding cap on this side, and neither do bonds or custom assets.
AllInvestView
Dedicated bond records
Most trackers store a bond as a holding with a manual value. It appears in allocation, but has no bond analytics.
Each bond shows its coupon schedule, current yield and accrued interest. Yield to maturity, convexity and duration are included. It also shows the implied credit spread against its government benchmark curve. Bonds in dollars, euros, sterling, Canadian dollars and Australian dollars are repriced off those curves.
The capture shows a US Treasury position at 4.72% yield to maturity with a 98 basis point implied spread, its benchmark named in the panel. Its price is carrying a broker mark rather than a curve valuation, so the basis of the displayed value is clear.
AllInvestView
Dividend income and forecasts
Dividend KPIs and forecasting sit on getquin Premium at 89.99 EUR a year. An income investor is likely to open that view every month.
The dividend report shows gross income, withholding and net income across every payment. It breaks totals down by payer and gives each one a growth rate. Monthly history and a twelve-month forecast appear below. Where withholding applies, the country rules and treaty rates decide the net figure rather than a flat percentage.
The demo portfolio in the capture has 152 payments behind it and a forward forecast of 3,680.33 USD. Every payer, every growth rate and the forecast itself are computed from the dividend data the product maintains.
AllInvestView
An assistant that can update records
getquin's AI explains. It talks through performance drivers, risk, dividends and candidates for tax-loss harvesting in plain language. It is included on paid tiers.
The AllInvestView assistant is on the free plan and acts on portfolio records. PDF statements, position photos and pasted tables become trade history, and broker statements are reconciled line by line against existing records.
The reconciliation separates matched, file-only, record-only and mismatched rows, naming every disagreement.

What You Pay
getquin: Free tier provides basic features. Premium subscriptions run approximately €50 annually for additional capabilities. However, premium still lacks tax tools and multi-asset support.
AllInvestView: A free plan is available. Paid plans add broker sync, flexible file imports and longer history, with a one-time lifetime option.
Cost comparisons should factor in value delivered. Proper tax reports can save hours of manual work or accountant fees. Better analytics may improve investment decisions. If a tool does not cover your assets, the price matters little.

Which tracker to choose
AllInvestView covers the portfolio and community work you use getquin for:
- The reasons the app gets opened in the first place: one net worth figure across every account, published portfolios carrying votes and comments, and a view that lines yours up beside a public one
- More underneath: the complete transaction record, performance across a start and an end date you set yourself, and the holdings rebuilt as they stood on a past day
- And what closes a tax year: capital gains under the rules of 14 jurisdictions, options with Greeks, bonds carrying a yield, multi-currency handled per lot, and export on demand
getquin keeps the bigger following graph, its curated ideas feed, a German-language product built DACH-first and bank and broker connections on the free tier.
Common Questions
Can I bring a broker file into AllInvestView?
Yes. CSV, XLSX and copied spreadsheet rows in any column layout can become complete transaction history.
Which platform calculates capital gains taxes?
AllInvestView calculates capital gains under fourteen country rule sets, with FIFO, LIFO, HIFO and average cost methods where applicable. Reports can be exported as PDF, Excel or CSV. getquin tracks performance but does not generate a capital gains report.
Does AllInvestView connect to brokers automatically?
Yes. Supported broker accounts refresh automatically each night.
I hold bonds. Which platform tracks them properly?
AllInvestView calculates yield to maturity, duration, accrued interest and coupon schedules from the government yield curve. getquin can record a bond as a custom holding without those bond calculations.
What about options trading?
AllInvestView tracks options with current Delta, Gamma, Theta and Vega, a theoretical price that updates with the market, and expiration management. getquin does not support options.
Can AllInvestView read an unfamiliar file layout?
Yes. An unfamiliar CSV, spreadsheet or copied table can become transaction history with dates, instruments, quantities, prices and transaction types intact.
